I’m catching a rare break right now — not from work, but inside it.
Things are… actually lining up. Here’s a creative project update for all those following along.
I’ve been in a stretch lately where progress feels real instead of theoretical. Stuff is getting finished. Systems are behaving. The momentum isn’t frantic, it’s steady. That makes this a good moment to write, because I’m not trying to convince myself things are moving — I can see it.
On the trivia side, the generator is mostly in polishing mode now. That’s a good sign. When you’re cleaning edges instead of building scaffolding, it means the core is solid. You can already see the results of it in the latest One Shot Trivia books. There are still tweaks to make, but the heavy lifting is done, and that’s a nice place to be.
At the same time, I’ve been putting a lot of energy into an RPG generator — and that’s where things are getting interesting.
Right now, it’s able to generate a cohesive outline for a quick-shot RPG. Not a finished game yet, but a real structure: tone, flow, sections that actually make sense together. It’s the skeleton of something playable, which is a big step up from loose ideas on a page.
There’s still work ahead — especially around mechanics and rule sets. The story layer needs time to breathe. I don’t want to rush that part, because that’s where these things either become memorable or forgettable. But the foundation feels right, and that’s honestly the hardest part.
I’m feeling good about where things are heading.
Not in a hype-cycle way. More in a quiet, grounded way — the kind where you trust the process because you’ve watched it work before.
So yeah. That’s where I am.
Still building. Still refining.
But enjoying the view from this stretch of the road.
