Update to everything that follows… this really didn’t work as I expected.. oh well… things have a way of working out sometimes though… we’ll see…
OK, I admit it, I didn’t really fix anything.. just testing out Jetpack’s social plugin for WordPress. But the transition from WordPress article to Substack “should” be easier. At least that’s my opinion.
I know it’s not what most people think about on Substack…but friction is my enemy.. and this is where it lies. (Ehh, sorta)
Try as I might. I couldn’t find a working, supported plugin that would move a WordPress post to a Substack article in one click. And Substack wasn’t going to do it from their side.
Strange. I think I get it, though.
It may be because Substack has no API to directly insert a post?

Jetpack Social
In comes the plugin that many of you WordPress owners already know about.
It really does work pretty well when you post to your WordPress blog, then one click publish to Instagram, Facebook, X.
Using Jetpack’s WordPress plugin, I want to test the manual copy to Substack since Jetpack does not have a built-in for Substack.
If you‘re the kind of person who cares, here is the list of social media accounts Jetpack supports natively. I can’t speak for all, just what you see connected.

OK, Post is done … Publish
Okay, great. Now we need to see how this works with Substack. Does not natively support Substack, so we will proceed with manual steps via Jepack.
Ok jetpack… Testing the manual copy to Substack here we go…

And the result is … coming in a future post, I think…
