Improvement and Experimentation
Grid & Ink Dispatch
Sep 01, 2025
This week was all about improvement and experimentation — revisiting older titles, expanding product lines, and testing out new tools.
Main Update / Essay
Updating Word Search Books
I went back to revise some of my older Word Search titles. This feels like a natural progression — some books need to be updated over time. I’m not changing the premise or spirit of these books; I’m making them better. That means fresh covers, more variety, and new polish. It’s both creative work and manual labor, but it advances the catalog.

Expanding DragonScript & Iso
The DragonScript and Iso notebook lines are moving beyond blank journals. I’ve started expanding them into game resources that players and GMs will actually use. More than just nice-looking books, they’re becoming practical tools you can bring to the table.
Trying New Tools
I picked up Publisher Champ to help streamline the publishing grind (yes, that’s an affiliate link). At the same time, I’ve been testing out GetBooksReviewed.com. The premium plan is still under review, so we’ll see where that goes. On the other hand, Self Publishing Titans is on its way out for me at the end of this month. It’s not about using every tool — it’s about sticking with the ones that actually help.
Takeaway of the week: Updating, experimenting, and testing tools all take work — but that’s the point. Growth isn’t automatic. It comes from revisiting, refining, and pushing forward.

Closing Note
This week reminded me that progress isn’t about perfection — it’s about putting in the work, making improvements, and moving forward one step at a time.
What’s one tool or project you’ve tried lately that didn’t work out — and one that really surprised you? Hit reply, I’d love to hear.
